A Night to Suppport Chinatown

Produced and successfully sold out an experiential fundraiser to raise a record amount for Asian Americans United.

Tapped to reinvigorate Restaurant Industry for Chinatown’s Existence (RICE) as part of the Save Chinatown Coalition during a pivotal point in the “No Arena PHL” campaign. Refreshed the RICE brand to tie it more closely to the larger movement. Filmed and published testimonials from restaurant and small business owners across Philadelphia in support of Chinatown. Connected with Grace Young, Ellen Yin, Les Dames D'Escoffier, and the founder of RICE Tess Wei and led the production of a fundraiser with all proceeds to go to Asian Americans United.

Successfully produced, marketed, and sold out this collaborative fundraiser which brought together Philadelphia's culinary talent and community advocates on February 3, 2025 at High Street Philadelphia. The event showcased dishes from six Chinatown restaurants in different stations while raising funds for Asian Americans United through a raffle and silent auction. Guests could create their own adventure between rooms through food stations, a documentary screening, and a surprise performance by the Philadelphia Suns. Featured speakers included activist Grace Young and representatives from organizations highlighting Chinatown's cultural significance.

The event raised a record amount of funds for Asian Americans United and showed a unified effort between Philadelphia's restaurant industry and Chinatown advocates and community groups during Lunar New Year celebrations.

Worked with Grace Young on promotional material before the event to share with her followers, her speech during the event, and organized a press tour after the event which was picked up by Nydia Han of 6abc Action News.
